Laura Marti

A proud Ukrainian with Armenian roots and Brazilian heart

LAURA MARTI is a famous jazz, ethnic and pop singer, composer, actress and model. She is described by the Ukrainian music world as one of the most versatile singers in Ukraine with a velvety voice.

She was awarded "Singer of the Year" by "ELLE Style Awards". Her project SHINE was nominated for "Project of the Year». Laura was nominated "VIVA! The Most Beautiful» and participated in "The Voice Of The Country".

In 2022 she was awarded the Grand PRIX at international competition «Ladies Jazz» in Poland.

Laura came from Ukraine to Germany at the end of March 2022 and has been actively playing concerts in Europe in support of Ukraine and continues to create new music.

In Summer 2022 Laura released special album «24th» about war in Ukraine. And already in September 2022, Laura invited one of the best musicians from Ukraine and recorded two jazz albums in Germany with two special European guests:  Lars Danielsson and Magnus Öström. The mission of the albums are to raise the spirit of the people of art during the war and acquaint Europe with Ukrainian music.

Laura has been making music for 15 years, working in different styles, striving to experiment in music and find new ideas. Her journey began with Brazilian samba and the creation of the group LeLa Brazil Project. Later, she recorded two Armenian ethno-jazz albums with her sister, as a part of the project "Laura & Kristina Marti". Also, the jazz album "Try to feel" with a German trumpeter and the album "Quests" in collaboration with Ukrainian pianist Nataliya Lebedeva based on Chopin. Within the last 5 years Laura has released a pop-jazz album "Shine", a pop-rock album "Vse Bude Dobre" and a pop album "24th", the war in Ukraine being its central subject.

As a jazz singer she has worked with numerous renowned international jazz musicians such as Bobby McFerrin, Lars Danielsson, Magnus Öström, Misha Tsiganov, Vadim Neselovskyi, Michiel Bortslap at jazz festivals like: Leopolis Jazz Fest (Alfa Jazz Fest), Jazz nad Odrą, Lotos Jazz Fest, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, Jazz Bez, Bouquet Kyiv Stage .
