Karl-Henrik began playing drums at the age of 3 and right away it was obvious that the drums set was his first choice of instrument. He was accepted to taking drum lessons as a test student at Gothenburg College of Music at the age of 5, the youngest student to be admitted.

Karl-Henrik Ousbäck graduated with a Bachelor´s degree at the Royal Academy of Music in Sweden 2015.

 In 2014 Ousbäck received Ronnie Gardiner’s prestigious ”Swedish Drummer Deserving Wider Recognition-Award”, and in 2016 the “Jazz Club Fasching Society Award”, both major honours to receive.

Since 2020 Ousbäck has been teaching some of the students at the jazz drum department of Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

As a recording artist Ousbäck has appeared as a featured guest artist on the following albums: Karl-Henrik Ousbäck -
