Marichka Chichkova is a Ukrainian singer, cultural manager, and emerging music therapist. She leads the NGO Local Cultural Support and curates long-term projects like Nyzhnyj Zal, ZRIZ, and Make Music Day Lviv. Her solo project
RICHKA blends traditional Ukrainian songs with minimal, ambient sound and voice experimentation. The result is meditative, intimate, and deeply textural — music that listens inward, while staying rooted in place and memory.
Richka is the studio project of Ukrainian vocalist Marichka Chichkova, weaving traditional singing with layered vocal harmonies, breath, and subtle electronic processing.
Built entirely from voice, Richka explores the space between folk and experiment, rawness and construction. Each track begins with an unadorned vocal gesture — a traditional melody, a fragment, a breath — and grows into a multi-voiced landscape of overtones, delays, and resonance.
Marichka also runs Spivmaisternia — a community-based workshop focused on traditional singing and vocal freedom — and organizes retreats combining voice, body, and healing practices in the Carpathians.
