Marichka Chichkova
— Vocal Artist and Cultural Manager
Marichka Chichkova is a Ukrainian singer, cultural manager, and emerging music therapist. She leads the NGO Local Cultural Support and curates long-term cultural projects.
Her solo project RICHKA blends traditional Ukrainian songs with ambient minimalism and voice experimentation. She also runs Spivmaisternia and healing retreats rooted in folk singing and somatic practice.
Local Cultural Support
NGO Local Cultural Support , focused on strengthening the Ukrainian independent music scene and supporting local musicians. The organization runs several long-term projects, including Make Music Day Lviv (the largest non-commercial music festival in Ukraine), ZRIZ (a live concert and podcast series featuring niche artists). The team also curates Nyzhnyj Zal in the Puppet Theatre — a chamber venue in central Lviv (up to 300 seats, fully equipped), which hosts concerts, performances, and workshops.
Musical Experience
Marichka has collaborated with artists from Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and the US. She was part of the folk band Torban and co-created Slavalachia, a cross-border project uniting musicians from Ukraine, the US, and Belarus. Shealso worked as a musical director for interdisciplinary theatre productions in Lviv and Kharkiv, composing and arranging music grounded in traditional Ukrainian singing.
Marichka currently develops her studio project RICHKA and is actively seeking artistic collaborations with musicians across Europe.
Residency and Healing Practices
Together with her partner, Marichka is developing a residency and retreat center in a remote village in the Carpathians. The space is designed for artists, musicians, and facilitators working with sound, body, and nature. Alongside this, she leads Spivmaisternia — a community-based singing workshop focused on traditional voice, and organizes seasonal retreats (Tilo Zvuku) combining voice, somatics, and therapeutic practices.
