Multi-award-winning Ukrainian drummer Oleksandr Seleznov leads an exciting jazz-fusion 5-piece project — Oleksandr Seleznov etc. Since 2019, the group has been blending jazz, electronics, and Ukrainian musical elements into a dynamic and melodic sound. Their 2024 album The Story Goes On, released on vinyl, has even reached Antarctica, becoming part of the collection at the Ukrainian Vernadsky Research Station.

Oleksandr Seleznov is a Ukrainian drummer, educator, innovative author, and bandleader. He has collaborated with artists such as Eugen Khmara, Jamala, Ivan Paduart, The Maneken, Ihor Zakus, and others.

Oleksandr is also the author of the first Ukrainian-language drum method book, “I Am a Drummer. Supermethod of Drumming”, and the creator of numerous educational and creative YouTube series.

In 2019, he founded the jazz-fusion project Oleksandr Seleznov etc. The debut EP Freedom (2020) combines jazz improvisation, electronic textures, exciting drum grooves, and Ukrainian percussion, and was selected among the Top 10 Ukrainian releases by the Aprize Music Awards.

In 2024, the band released its second album — The Story Goes On. According to radio journalist and producer Oleksii Kogan, Seleznov’s latest album offers: “Engaging music, tight ensemble playing, vivid solos, and solid accompaniment. I believe the musicians deliver melodic fusion with confidence — a style still relatively rare on today’s Ukrainian jazz scene.”

Oleksandr Seleznov etc. is seeking European performance opportunities, including concerts and festivals. Media opportunities are also welcome.
