ETERIA is a Ukrainian ethno-folk band from Lviv that discovers, records, and performs rare folk songs. Drawing on field expeditions, archival research, and collaboration with tradition bearers, we bring Ukraine’s musical heritage to contemporary audiences through authentic performance and distinctive artistic interpretation.

ETERIA is a 10-piece Ukrainian ethno-folk ensemble from Lviv dedicated to discovering, researching, recording, and performing rare traditional songs. Rooted in field expeditions, archival research, and collaboration with tradition bearers, ETERIA brings Ukraine’s musical heritage to contemporary audiences through authentic performance and distinctive artistic interpretation.

The ensemble’s sound is built around the rich Ukrainian singing tradition, with an emphasis on layered harmonies, regional vocal colour, and the expressive character of traditional melodies. ETERIA combines voices with instrumentation and arrangements designed to preserve the character of the original material while bringing its musical depth, energy, and emotional power into a contemporary performance setting.

Its repertoire spans Ukraine’s diverse historical and ethnographic regions, with a special focus on calendar-ritual folklore, including carols, spring songs, wedding traditions, and communal singing. With five studio albums, performances at festivals and cultural events, as well as workshops and educational projects, ETERIA is more than a band - it is a living cultural platform that keeps traditional Ukrainian music a living, shared practice and helps transmit Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage to future generations.
