Yuliia Vitraniuk — Zgarda

ZGARDA was formed in 2018 in Kyiv and reimagines Ukrainian folk in a contemporary acoustic setting. Led by vocalist and folk-artist Yuliia Vitraniuk, they blends ritual and lyrical songs with energetic live arrangements.
The band bring old melodies to life with bandura, double bass, violin, percussion and layered vocals. Their debut album “Зґарда” was released in February 2025 — seven tracks rooted in tradition arranged for modern audiences.
Yuliia also appears with Opera Aperta’s operas Chornobyldorf and GAIA-24 and has collaborated with Ukrainian music projects Authentix and The Doox.
